Job Summary

The Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering is responsible for delivering high-quality teaching, mentoring students, conducting research, and contributing to academic and administrative activities. The role includes curriculum development, student assessment, laboratory supervision, project guidance, and participation in accreditation and institutional development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach undergraduate and/or postgraduate courses in Computer Science & Engineering.
  • Prepare lesson plans, lecture notes, assignments, and study materials.
  • Conduct classroom lectures, laboratory sessions, tutorials, and seminars.
  • Evaluate student performance through tests, assignments, practicals, and examinations.
  • Mentor students in academic, project, and career development.
  • Guide final-year projects, internships, and research activities.
  • Develop and update course content in accordance with university and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in curriculum design and academic planning.
  • Conduct and publish research in reputed journals and conferences.
  • Apply for research grants and collaborate on funded projects where applicable.
  • Participate in accreditation activities such as NBA, NAAC, and institutional audits.
  • Organize workshops, seminars, FDPs, hackathons, and technical events.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment and software resources.
  • Perform administrative duties assigned by the department or institution.
  • Participate in student admissions, examinations, placements, and departmental committees.
  • Promote innovation, entrepreneurship, and industry collaboration.

Qualification

  • B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering or a related discipline.
  • M.E./M.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering or a relevant specialization.
  • Ph.D. in Computer Science & Engineering or a related field is preferred or as per applicable regulatory norms.

Experience

  • Fresh candidates or candidates with 0–3 years of teaching, research, or industry experience are welcome.
  • Experience in teaching engineering courses is preferred.
